If any of you have had the pleasure of having a litter of puppies in your home then you know we don't choose them they choose us.
This is Ranger he just recieved his name this past evening. I wasn't planning on keeping any of our puppies but, he stole my heart. He chose me!! From the time he started walking he would come right to me. This past evening he showed just how much he loves me when his mom came in and instead of joining the other puppies and attacking their mom for nursing time he stayed right beside me wagging his cute little tail. He also will curl up beside me and sleep on me rather then next to or on his mommy. So this evening I made my descision and we picked out a name for my newest baby. Davids' choice was Bear Amandas' choice was Sparky Zacks' choice was Smokey or Loki but, David nixed the name Loki even though both Zack and I liked it. He said animals have a tendency to live up to their names  and he was afraid it would live up to it. For those that don't know Loki is the Norse God of mischief. I had suggested Thor or Odin (I have always wanted a dog named Thor ) But, when I said it and looked down at him I laughed he is definately not a Thor or Odin. What finally triggered the name Ranger was David said he would definately be a dog we would take with us when we go out on our adventures trekking through the deserts of Arizona and well the name Ranger sprang to mind and it just suits him perfectly. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
